Hungarian Summit Education Week 2026

— powered by the Tempus Public Foundation.

Four inspiring days, meaningful conversations, new partnerships, and unforgettable community experiences defined the Hungarian Summit Education Week 2026, organized by Hungarian Summit in partnership with the Tempus Public Foundation during NAFSA Week in Orlando, Florida.

The week brought together higher education leaders, institutional partners, students, innovators, and community members from both Hungary and the United States, reinforcing the growing ties between the two countries.

The week began with an exclusive networking reception at Orlando's renowned Citrus Club. Against the backdrop of the city's skyline, Hungarian and American university leaders, partners, and decision-makers gathered to reconnect, exchange ideas, and explore future opportunities for collaboration.

Beyond the impressive views, the evening highlighted something even more valuable: the strength of the Hungarian-American community and the relationships that continue to drive meaningful international cooperation.

Higher Education Mini-Conference at UCF Downtown

On May 29, UCF Downtown hosted our flagship professional program: an exclusive mini-conference focused on higher education partnerships, innovation, and international collaboration.

The conference was moderated by Will Hoover, while participants were welcomed by Piros Pazaurek, Founder of Hungarian Summit. Representing the co-organizer, the Tempus Public Foundation, István Verses greeted attendees and highlighted the importance of strengthening educational connections between Hungary and the United States.

The audience also heard from Dr. Gabriella Nagy, Science and Technology Attaché, who shared valuable perspectives on the future of Hungarian-American cooperation in research, innovation, and higher education.

Featured keynote speakers included:

Jenni Craig, who presented successful fundraising and advancement strategies in American higher education.

Krista Bofill, who shared best practices for building engaged and sustainable alumni communities.

The conference created space for meaningful dialogue among representatives of Hungarian and American institutions, generating new ideas and laying the groundwork for future collaborations.

The professional discussions continued into the evening at the Mills Art Gallery, where participants enjoyed a unique cultural and networking experience.

Guests sampled Hungarian culinary specialties and wines while strengthening personal and professional connections in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

The evening was elevated by a memorable musical performance from Ádám Dávid Nagy, whose artistry provided the perfect soundtrack to an exceptional gathering.

The final day focused on educational opportunities and future generations.

Representatives of the Tempus Public Foundation introduced study and scholarship opportunities available in Hungary for students from Florida and beyond, highlighting pathways for international academic engagement.

A special highlight was a conversation with world-renowned chess grandmaster Susan Polgar, who shared insights on talent development, perseverance, strategic thinking, and recognizing opportunities.

Her inspiring message resonated strongly with attendees and provided a fitting conclusion to a week dedicated to learning, growth, and international collaboration.

Hungarian Summit Education Week 2026 demonstrated the power of partnerships that extend beyond borders.

Together with our partners, speakers, supporters, and participants, we strengthened the bridge connecting Hungary and the United States through education, innovation, business, and community engagement.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Tempus Public Foundation, UCF Downtown, Mayer Syrup, Headway, HunBizFlo, our speakers, volunteers, and every participant who contributed to the success of this remarkable week.
