The Diaspora Project Network (DPH) was established on April 1, 2017, at the 650-year-old University of Pécs (PTE) to support the preservation of identity among Hungarians living in diaspora communities across the world, while establishing and developing mutual relations within the Hungarian diaspora, and launching joint programs in active collaboration with Hungarian partner organizations.
Contributing to the strategic goals of PTE, the Hungarians of the World Network Platform Office (VMNP) was established on July 1, 2023 as an independent organizational unit, whose objective is to create a platform that unites Hungarians across the world.
Supporting the realization of this goal is our 'Hungarians of the World – Portraits' podcast, which launched in 2024. In addition, our online program 'Hungarian Diaspora Everyday Life' (MDM) features at least four to six Hungarian organizations from abroad every year, introducing them to our viewers and university students.
Our CsomóPont newsletter, launched in 2022, summarizes current news and opportunities related to the Hungarian diaspora, alongside featured articles from guest authors.
With the support of the Pannon Musical and Cultural Program, we also provide online Hungarian language instruction to the diaspora community.
